Versatile Cauliflower Patties

Ingredients

  • ½ head cauliflower
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup cheese grated
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Wash the cauliflower and grate it with a coarse grater. Peel the onion and grate it. Whip the egg, then add flour, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the egg mixture to the cauliflower, and mix well. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Pour the olive oil in a pan, take a ¼ cup of cauliflower mixture, and form a cake. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side over low heat. Repeat until all the dough is gone.
  • When the patties are cooked, serve hot or warm with sour cream. These patties make a perfect side or a perfect vegetarian main dish topped with a salad.
